On Sunday, the 31st of July 2022, The English Women’s football team (the Lionesses) won the Women’s Euros. It was a challenging battle between England and Germany, England 2 and Germany won. This was a fantastic win, because in England, and not just England, there is this type of hate that I am not allowed to say because I am too young.
RADIO: Now we are going to talk about (word I am not allowed to say😏) hate, and why people think men are most famous and not women
ME: (grinning) HEY! They aren’t allowed to say that word in public!
MUM: haha. But you really should listen to this type of stuff…
I misinterpreted that. But Luckily for the safety of me and my life, I didn’t listen to any of ‘that stuff’. Anyway, in 2021, there was all this commotion about the men losing, that the women probably were confident the there wouldn’t be that much kerfuffle as the men. But were the women determined, even thought they knew that that people weren’t going to make a big deal? Yes. They fought to victory. This performance shows that the gender of a person doesn’t matter.
