I am currently in Year 7 and at a primary school. We have to bring in my own own computers, and at the beginning of Year 7, i started playing Fortnite. I got it on my PlayStation, and once I figured the mouse I currently had was for gaming, and needed Fortnite on my computer. So I got it… but there was only one problem. Cloud storage. Fortnite takes up 3.7 GB of cloud storage, and I just wasn’t having it, so I made a decision.
One other thing that happened at the beginning of this year was that I was an official art scholar. I decided, that because of this, and the POSCA markers I got for Christmas, and could make art on tiny canvases, and sell it! By doing so, I could gather up enough money to get myself my very own gaming computer. At this moment, my friend is hunting the internet for good deals so I can get the Asus A15 Ryzen7 gaming laptop…I think. I have no idea what is good for gaming, so I just sent him a DM asking for him to do it for me. I hope he gets a good deal!
Anyway, whilst he is doing that, I am creating art ready to be sold. When I told my parents, they were as excited as me, so they said “Son…whatever you get, I will match up to £1,000” in the most Darth Vader voices I had ever heard. I literally couldn’t sleep that night. The idea of being able to probably get more than £2,000 blew my mind. And as the days went on, it got even better. My fellow art scholar, has decided to help me, making art and putting prices on them as well.
Now, you may be thinking ‘is he going to spend all his money on a gaming laptop?’ Well, the answer is no. My budget for the laptop is £900. Now remember, I could get over 2 grand, so I will have a lot of money to spare. And where is that money going? To Great Ormand Street Hospital, our school’s charity. At the beginning of this post you might have though I was greedy, but now you know, if there is spare, and I can do nothing with the money, mostly because I won’t use it correctly, I will just give it to charity.😁
My final request to you guys is to support me, not only for the growth of my gaming career, but for those other children who deserve the same chance as me.
