My life as a 12-year-old can, at times, be quite boring. My schedule of the Christmas was: Read, play Fortnite, eat, play Fortnite, sleep. For some of you it may seem like a dream, but even gaming got to me at some point…mostly because I kept on coming second on battle royal, but that’s not the point. I decided, a good uses of my time, was to create a book. Not those 500 word essays for English prep, I mean an actual book.
I ‘instantly’ got to work, and by that I mean a couple more days of my usual schedule, and i finally created the title: Land of the Terronoch. Terronoch, is a shortened version of Terroribus Nochtis and means ‘Terrors of the Night’. Here is my plan of them so far:
Villains: The Terronoch ( Terroribus nochtis) meaning Terrors of the Night. They are flying creatures. Dragons. They have the intelligence of humans and speak an unknown language to normal humans. Terronochs have the power to turn dreams into nightmares. They have the power to make these nightmares true. The most powerful can enter a dream to wound or even kill the person. Only the Emperor can trap a person in their own dream for eternity.
The main character of my story is a boy called Zephyr. Here are the details about him:
Main Character: Zephyr. A fourteen year old boy who lives on a farm with his mother. He doesn’t know who his father is or where he has gone. His mother dies due to an illness, and he has to go on a journey to find his purpose and his father. His weakness was his heart. It had once been plunged by a Terronoch claw by a mysterious man, but he was saved by a curse that was put on it. The claws are meant to kill you instantly, but because the magic had gone through a portal into the real world, the claw’s magic decreased, and only makes the person faint and weak. Zephyr has had black magic in his heart for the rest of his life. He overcomes it during the journey. Zephyr is demanding. He always wants things to go his way, and if they don’t he’ll get mad.
More of the book will be revealed hopefully in the next month!
PS Happy New Year from me.
